Front cover analysis (NME)

Analysis

Masthead - The masthead is placed in the top left hand side of the front cover like usual. But instead of the main image covering the masthead instead its cover the masthead. It has used the same type of text and font style than it usually does keeping to its forms and codes and coventions
Main image -Again their is a main image dominating most of the front cover, this is typical codes and conventions of a music magazine to have the main picture dominant of the page. They have done this to show the main article, its shows the main story and whos it about with this main picture. its more appealing to the audience.
Pugs/Puffs- There are more Pugs and Pugs used here than normal music magazines. For example ( WIN/ARITIC MONKEYS SPLIT) these are exaamples of the puffs and pugs used in the front cover of this magazine. They use this to try and entice the audience to reading the magazine. They try and draw the audience in with the pugs and puffs, saying win here and prize, just turn to page .... This is a draw in, getting the reader to read through the magazine. They also show small articles and information for the reader but doesnt explicit to much.
